SEPTEMBER 3, 1999 - OCTOBER 7, 2008

Radar passed from this world to the Rainbow bridge October 7, 2008. Radar was a wonderful dog that gave his all in anything that he was involved in. Obedience, conformation or just giving kisses to those he loved. I fell in love with Radar the very moment I saw him across a crowded room (sounds like a song) but it is true. The first time I saw him he was across the room in Orlando, FL, AKC show in 1999. He was 3 months old. I went over to him, got on my knees, he put his front legs around my neck, pulled me to him and gave me the biggest, wettest kiss! I was in love from that moment on! Thank you Debra Johnson, for giving me the chance to love this dog! He has surpassed all of my expectations in the doggie world. I thought I was just getting a very handsome Australian Shepherd! What I got was a dog with heart, passion, determination, class and a winning personality that won over many, many judges and he made friends wherever he went! He didn't know a stranger. I never heard a cross word from him unless he was teaching his kids to behave. He was a wonderful sire. He rolled on the ground with his puppies, kissing, cleaning and playing with them. What a dog! Anyone with one of his offspring can expect the greatest moments of their lives. Enjoy them! They will enrich your lives like you cannot imagine! Radar did that for me and more! I will miss him with every breath I take....... I love you Radar and I will miss your smile and cheeks!
I knew I would loose you someday, I just didn't think it would

International Championship

The day I met Radar for the first time I knew it was instant love at his tender age of 12 weeks. I got down on my knees and he put his front legs around my neck and pulled me to him and I knew at that moment he was going to be a special dog. Radar is a very giving dog and ready to try anything. He can be very serious or tun into a very handsome clown, in an instant.
He keeps a gal on her toes!

Radar and I started out in conformation and what a ride that was! He did very well in the breed ring getting an AKC Championship title getting several group wins. Patricia Stout handled Radar for both AKC and ASCA Championships. In addition, Kelly McIntosh was Radars handler while being shown to his International Championship, making us very, very proud of our boy and all of his accomplishments.

Radar and I were training in obedience while he was working towards his championships. Having accomplished his championships in a fine fashion, it was our turn to hit the obedience trail.
We first obtained our AKC CD and fast forwarded to our ASCA and UKC companion dog titles. We then went on to AKC open obedience and achieved his title with ease. We also were competing in open class in UKC and ASCA accomplishing his CDX in UKC and following soon after earning his ASCA CDX title gathering several "HIGH IN TRIAL" and "HIGHEST SCORING AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD" (pictured at left with UKC judge Diane Cohen) received a 2nd place in the open class and also received his UKC, CDX title with title ribbon that he wears on his collar!
The ribbons made me a very happy partner in this wonderful world of obedience.

Cathy Pirtle did a great job this day! Made me a very happy person by handling Radar to BEST OF WINNERS!, in Ocala, FL. at a CFASC show.! It is so nice to see your kids shine with a wonderful handler!
